| Chiloe
Churches (Declared patrimony of humanity). |
|
|
The
United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural
Organization (Unesco) declared 14 churches
of Chiloe (Chile) as patrimony of
humanity. The churches belong to a group of 60 considered
of the Chilota architectonic style, dating from
the 18th century. Although some of these churches
have been restored not long ago, others are in bad
condition, such as the church of Quinchao,
the largest of all, which was heavily damaged by
the 1985´s earthquake. The churches of Chiloe
stand out among other churches of the region because
they are made out of wood, the "Alerce",
and as such, are unique in the world. One of these
temples, the church of Achao, was constructed
without using nails, but only with wooden unions.

Our
Charter will depart from Pto. Montt and
visit the 14 churches and their picturesque towns
in a 6 day adventure.

| Quintupeu |

Day
1: We depart at 9:00 am in the morning from
Puerto Montt, to Caleta Andrade, is
like a four and a half hour criuse.
We have lunch at Caleta Andrade. After lunch
we visit some thermal pools near by. We sleep at
Andrade.
Day 2: We wake up at 8:30 , after breakfast
we depart to Quintupeu.We have lunch there
and some fishing in a near by river or sightsing
in the afternoon. We sleep at Quintupeu.
Day 3: Breakfast at 9:00 am, depart at 10.00
am from Quintupeu to Porcelana is
a two hour cruise. At arrival we go down to the
beach were we will have a special lunch. After lunch
you can sleep a nap on board or go to the natural
thermal pools of Porcelana for
a swim. We sleep at Porcelana.
Day 4: Breakfast At 9:30 am you choose between
staying at Porcelana or Quintupeu.
We sleep at Caleta Andrade.
Day 5: Breakfast at 8:00 am we cruise about
one hour to Hornopiren and then we head back
to Pto. Montt. (we have a light lunch during
the cruise.) |

| Calbuco |
 |
Day
1: We depart from Pto. Montt at 9:00
am. After a three hour cruise we anchor for lunch
at Calbuco. In the afternoon we continue
cruising to Abtao.
Day
2: After breakfast, we go ashore to see the
churches and small towns nearby. Then we cruise
to a near island to have lunch . In the afternoon
we cruise to a place called Chipué
, and have a nice barbeque onboard.
Day
3: After breakfast we cruise in the tender
through Chipué . Then we depart
in the yacht and cruise for an hour and have lunch
in a nice place near Pto. Montt. Arriving
that afternoon to Pto. Montt.
