1.- How is a charter yacht different from a cruise ship or seaside resort?

The flexibility and privacy of a yacht is the ultimate indulgence. Professional crew wait on you from the moment you board (or leave you alone if you desire). Your captain will suggest an itinerary, but you're not locked into a program and are free to waiver from this route. If you find the perfect spot -opt to linger longer! Cruising allows you the luxury of only unpacking your bags once while touring many different areas.

2.- What do we need to pack?

Comfortable, "resort casual" clothing including a warm fleece and windbreaker, and appropriate boating shoes . Pack comfortable, casual clothes adaptable for daytime temperatures of 65 to 75 F. Include some warm apparel as the temperature can drop to 50ºF at night.

  • Comfortable, casual clothing
  • Warm apparel for cool evenings
  • Yachting shoes
  • Water resistant wind-breaker Swimsuit for thermal baths or health spas we may visit.
  • Prescriptions
  • Sunscreen
  • Lots of film
Soft luggage only since on-board storage is limited.

3.- Can I have a party for a large group on board??

Due to the size of the yacht we limit the number of passengers to 6 in all moments. Tell your charter broker if you are planning to entertain a larger number and they will do their best to locate vessels that permit large groups.

4.- Can I bring children on board?
The yachts are child-friendly, although the crew are always quite busy with their assigned duties and are not at liberty to offer childcare services. We will request a damage deposit since the materials that typify luxury accommodations are sometimes not up to the rigors of spirited children.

5.- Can I bring my pet on board?

We do not permit guests to bring pets on board for several reasons. Crew are required to maintain rigid cleanliness standards for all their guests and there is a potential of allergens from animals remaining on board. Animals are typically not accustomed to the strict confinement of a ship and an active cruising itinerary can be quite uncomfortable for pets. Just like humans, animals can also be sensitive to the effects of motion and may become disoriented or lethargic. Travelling abroad with pets and checking through customs in foreign ports-of-call may subject animals to quarantine periods.

6.- Do I need to carry my passport?

Yes, all foreign guests must carry valid passports for customs and immigration when arriving to Chile. Visas, if applicable, are the responsibility of the chatterer and must be secured in advance of the charter. If you are not certain, your charter broker will direct you to the proper authorities.

7.- Who plans the menus?
Your chef will usually provide a sample menu of the yacht's cuisine and most are delighted to adjust their fare to your plate.

8.- What if I'm on a special diet?

By the necessity of adapting to new locations and ingredient availability, our yacht chef is skilled at a wide variety of cuisine and can please even the pickiest eater. It is critical that you take time to have each member of your party complete the preference form that your Charter Broker will provide to you in advance. It is critical to know of any allergies or serious aversions in advance.

9.- Will I experience seasickness?

If you are worried about seasickness check with your local pharmacist for special medication before you leave home. The crew will make your trip as comfortable as possible by recommending routes in protected waters and keeping tabs on changing weather conditions.

10.- Can we smoke on board?
Smoking is not permitted inside the yacht, however, we allow you to smoke on the outside deck areas. If there are smokers in your party please tell your charter broker and be honest about your needs - we will do our best to ensure that you and the crew are well informed in advance. Substances that are illegal on land are also illegal on the yacht.

11.- Does the yacht have laundry facilities?
The yachts do not handle laundry. But laundry can be arranged on a visiting port.

12.- How do my friends, family and business colleagues reach me during the cruise?
Our vessel is equipped with the very latest communications equipment including cellular service, global satellite telecommunications and personal computer.

13.- Will my privacy be respected while on board?
Professional crew are experienced with entertaining the yacht's owner and guests, celebrities and prominent statesmen. They will maintain a low profile. Our charter brokers can include a non-disclosure clause in your charter contract if you wish to guarantee that your privacy is respected before, during and after your charter.

14.- How much does a charter cost?
The daily rate for M/Y GENOVEVA is US$970.- with sale tax Included. The Chatterer must pay for operating expenses while on board such as; Fuel, food, wine & liquors and telephone charges. Your charter broker will inform you as to what is customary. The daily rate for ARCOIRIS is US $ 1.170.- with sale tax Included. 16.- Do I need to buy insurance during the charter?
The yacht remains insured by the owner during your charter, however we recommend in some cases that you purchase additional liability coverage to protect you and your guests from any unforeseen mishap.
